Customer Background
The customer is a Chinese kitchenware retail brand serving the domestic kitchenware market through major e-commerce platforms, including Taobao and JD.com. With an established retail presence, the brand was looking to expand its product range and develop a new series of kitchenware products for consumers preparing for a new home.
The project required more than simply supplying individual products. The customer needed a reliable kitchenware manufacturing partner that could support product development, customization, production, quality control, and delivery as part of one integrated process.
The Challenge: Developing New Products While Reducing After-Sales Issues
Before working with Purecook, one of the customer’s key concerns was after-sales service.
Some previous after-sales issues were related to transportation, including damage to product components such as lids during handling and delivery. For a retail brand selling through e-commerce channels, these problems can affect the customer experience and create additional after-sales costs.
At the same time, the customer was planning to introduce new products and needed a supplier capable of handling multiple SKUs with consistent quality and efficient project coordination.
The goal was therefore to find a manufacturing partner that could combine new product development, customized packaging, quality control, and reliable delivery.
The Project Goal: A One-Stop Kitchenware Solution for New Homes
The customer wanted to develop a practical kitchenware collection designed around the needs of consumers moving into a new home.
Instead of purchasing unrelated products from different suppliers, the concept was to provide a more complete kitchenware solution covering everyday cooking, food storage, steaming, and kitchen organization.
Purecook supported the project with six core SKUs:
- Frying Pan
- Snow Pan
- Oil Pot
- Steamer Rack Lid
- Food Storage Container
- Steamer Rack
The six products were developed as part of the same project, helping the customer build a more consistent product offering.
OEM Customization for the Retail Brand
To meet the customer’s branding requirements, Purecook provided OEM customization for the project.
Custom Logo
The customer’s brand logo was applied to the products according to the confirmed design requirements.
Custom Packaging
Packaging was customized to match the customer’s retail positioning and product presentation requirements.
This allowed the customer to receive finished products that were prepared for its own brand rather than standard off-the-shelf kitchenware.
Production Process: From Requirements to Mass Production
Purecook followed a structured project workflow to keep product development and production organized:
Requirement Confirmation → Sampling → Mass Production → Inspection and Testing
The project began with detailed communication about product requirements, customization, and packaging. After the specifications were confirmed, samples were prepared for customer review.
Once the samples were approved, Purecook proceeded with mass production. Before delivery, the products went through the required inspection and material testing process.
This workflow helped create a clear transition from product concept to commercial production.
Surface Finishing and Material Quality Control
Polishing was one of the key processes used during production to achieve the required surface finish.
For kitchenware products, appearance and surface quality are important not only for visual presentation but also for the overall consumer experience. Purecook therefore incorporated process control into production while maintaining attention to material quality.
Material testing was also included in the quality control process to help ensure that the products met the confirmed requirements before shipment.
30-Day Delivery for Multi-SKU Production
Managing six SKUs within one project requires coordination across sampling, material preparation, production, inspection, packaging, and shipment.
For this project, Purecook completed the production and delivery cycle with a 30-day lead time.
A clearly organized production process helped the customer coordinate the launch of multiple products without having to manage each product through a separate supplier.
The Result: 100% Repeat Order Rate
The cooperation has now continued for two years, with the customer repeatedly placing orders and continuing to develop new products with Purecook.
The project achieved a 100% repeat order rate based on the customer’s continued purchasing relationship.
The customer’s feedback has focused on three areas:
- Good product quality
- Fast delivery
- Good service
More importantly, the cooperation has developed from an initial new-product development project into a long-term manufacturing partnership.
Two Years of Continued Cooperation
After the initial six-SKU project, the customer continued working with Purecook for additional orders and new product development.
This ongoing cooperation demonstrates the importance of a manufacturing partner that can support not only the first production order but also subsequent product development and replenishment.
For retail brands, a supplier relationship needs to remain flexible as product portfolios change. New products may require different specifications, packaging, production arrangements, and delivery schedules. Purecook continues to support the customer through these stages.
What This Case Means for Kitchenware Brands
This project demonstrates how a kitchenware manufacturer can support a retail brand beyond basic product supply.
For brands developing new kitchenware collections, an effective manufacturing partnership can help connect:
Product Development → OEM Customization → Packaging → Production → Quality Control → Delivery
With experience in stainless steel kitchenware manufacturing and OEM/ODM projects, Purecook provides an integrated manufacturing process for brands looking to develop new products and build long-term supply relationships.
For retailers and kitchenware brands planning a new product line, the key is not only finding a factory that can produce a product, but also finding a partner that can consistently support the project from the first sample through repeat production.
